Welcome to the web page of the Icelandic Pension Funds Association (IPFA).

The Icelandic Pension Funds  Association, an umbrella organization for Icelandic pension funds, was founded in 1998.

Total assets of the pension funds within the IPFA amounted to ISK 1.768 billion (US$ 14.0 billion or 11.2 billion € ) at the end of December 2009.

The assets of the pension funds within the IPFA amount to approximately 99,5% of total pension fund assets in Iceland.

The role of the IPFA is to look after and speak for the interests of pension funds and their members and to present their views on all important issues to the authorities and other bodies. Furthermore, the IPFA helps to initiate debate on all pension fund issues and work towards creating a positive image. The IPFA also plays a role in publishing and education and helps to improve the efficiency of the funds as well as keeping abreast of developments in pension fund matters abroad and taking part in international co-operation between pension fund organizations.

May you live long and prosperously!
